Kosa Magaška

They are located on the path to the east of Reljan. They belonged to the easternmost mountain hamlets of Seline, Magaši and Stanići. On the south side of the road are those of the Magaš family, and on the north of the Stanić family. In 1979, a total of 33 mirilo stones were documented without including the demolished stones of the Stanić family, which were overgrown with juniper. They were oriented east - west. Despite the closeness, the site is distinguished by the precision of the workmanship and the types of the headstone and footstone slabs. Most oft en they were of the archedrounded type, skillfully carved, and more rarely of the square type. The paving was characterized by regular square forms, although the fl at terrain in and of itself was suitable for paving with minimal interventions. The Stanić family mirilo stones were mostly of the amorphous type, somewhat fewer were square and all were massive (around 20 cm thick). The main decorative motifs on the Magaš family mirilo stones were repetitive and fl at-ended crosses and the swastika. The stones with inscriptions had a simple cross on the headstone and the footstone. The Stanić mirilo stones had a diff erent iconography. Although the reliefs are worn, two anthropomorphic motifs similar to a worshipper could be distinguished. They had no inscriptions.
