They are located alongside the old path that leads from Kruščica to the cemetery at Ljubotić, and they belonged to the Matak family from the hamlet of Donji Mataci east of Ljubotić. They are oriented west-east, and are of the square, rectangular, and amorphous types. The landscape abounds in loose fl at rocks suitable for constructing mirilo tombstones with a minimum of additional intervention.

Aft er conservation and protection in 2006, they have been revealed in their original beauty that stuns the observer, experiencing at that moment the border between this world and the otherworld as expressed in the usual miniature sculptures of the mirilo stones harmoniously incorporated into the mythic expanses of Velebit Mountain.

The headstones have a carved cross alone or in a combination with an inscription consisting of the initials of the deceased with the year of death, or the full fi rst and last name, the years of birth and death, or simply death. Some slabs have no markings whatsoever.
